Ashley Boulton
Ashley M. Boulton joined the faculty at McGeorge School of Law as a Visiting Professor of Law in July 2025. Professor Boulton teaches Global Lawyering Skills I and III.
Professor Boulton has over a decade of experience as a civil litigator in private practice. Her practice has largely focused on complex business, food and agriculture, employment, and appellate litigation in both state and federal court. Before joining the McGeorge faculty, Professor Boulton also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Consuelo M. Callahan ’75 on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for two years.
Professor Boulton received her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in law and society, with a minor in English. Professor Boulton obtained her JD from McGeorge, where she was a member of the McGeorge Law Review and the Moot Court Honors Board. As a proud McGeorge alumnus, Professor Boulton has stayed involved with the award-winning McGeorge moot court program over the years and has served as an alumni coach for the moot court competition teams since 2023.
Professor Boulton is passionate about supporting the next generation of law students and lawyers. Her experience working with aspiring law students in the Florin High School Law Academy and the C.K. McClatchy Law & Public Policy Academy first sparked her love of teaching.
