Catherine Robnett
Catherine Robnett, MSN, BSN, RN, CEN, CFRN, CCRN is an experienced emergency, critical care, and flight nurse, educator, and international wilderness medicine specialist. With a diverse clinical and leadership background spanning hospital, prehospital, aviation, and remote medicine environments, she brings a wealth of real-world expertise to nursing education.
As a dedicated educator, Catherine has served as a didactic, clinical, and technical instructor in both academic and professional settings. Her commitment to mentorship extends beyond the classroom, including leadership of the nation’s only medical Boy Scout Explorer Post and ongoing support of new graduate nurses as they transition into practice.
Catherine has also dedicated much of her career to Search and Rescue (SAR), serving as Assistant Team Leader for Mountain Rescue and Training Coordinator for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Her passion for global health has taken her on medical missions to Nepal, Pakistan, Haiti, and Indonesia, where she provided patient care and healthcare education in resource-limited settings.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Catherine is a Master Diver and Rescue Diver and recently retired from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Dive and Swiftwater Rescue Team, where she served as Medical Officer. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care nursing, global health, wilderness medicine, and the development of future healthcare professionals.
