A native San Franciscan, Dr. Shafiee attended the University of San Francisco as an undergraduate, obtaining her B.S. in biology. Throughout her undergraduate education, she was also a student athlete. She earned her D.D.S. and post-doctoral degree in orthodontics at the Dugoni School. She has maintained a teaching role since 2001.
