Simon Morris
Dr. Simon Morris is a dedicated clinician, educator and leader whose career embodies the values of integrity, service and excellence that define the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. A faculty member since 1998, Dr. Morris has taught and mentored generations of students with an unwavering commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
With over 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Morris has cared for thousands of children through his long-standing private practice in Los Gatos and at multiple hospital sites across the Bay Area, including Good Samaritan Hospital, Kaiser Santa Clara and San Jose, and several pediatric subacute care centers affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Northern California. His clinical expertise in caring for children with special health care needs is especially well regarded, combining deep technical skill with empathy and precision.
A proud graduate of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (DDS, 1996) and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry (Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, 1998), Dr. Morris also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Harvey Mudd College (1993). His blend of academic achievement, professional integrity, and quiet humility continues to inspire students, colleagues, and the broader dental community.
Dr. Morris has served in several leadership capacities within organized dentistry, including as Chair of the Ethics Committee and Board Member for the Santa Clara County Dental Society, and twice as President of the Santa Clara Valley Pedodontic Academy. He is a respected voice in pediatric dentistry and a trusted educator whose lectures and presentations, ranging from pediatric emergencies to the care of medically complex children, reflect both clinical excellence and community responsiveness.
In addition to his teaching and clinical service, Dr. Morris is a participant in the UC Davis MIND Institute’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program, where he is expanding his expertise in interdisciplinary approaches to caring for children with developmental and medical complexities.
