Victoria Hernandez (Reiner), MSN, RN earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Education from the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to joining the University of the Pacific, she worked in a variety of pediatric healthcare settings, including pediatric critical care, emergency care, perioperative nursing, and neonatal care.

Hernandez (Reiner) serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Faculty of Record in the Entry-Level Master of Science in Nursing (ELMSN) program at the University of the Pacific School of Health Sciences. Her teaching focuses on pediatric nursing, simulation-based education, competency-based learning, and clinical reasoning.

Her professional interests include the use of simulation, virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance nursing education. She has developed immersive learning experiences that support therapeutic communication, de-escalation, clinical judgment, and student confidence in complex clinical situations. She has also contributed to projects focused on competency development, evidence-based practice, and nursing workforce preparation.

What Hernandez (Reiner) enjoys most about teaching is helping students grow into confident, compassionate nurses. She is passionate about creating engaging learning environments that encourage critical thinking, lifelong learning, and excellence in patient-centered care.
