Fellowship in Industry Program — BridgeBio

This one-year PharmD Fellowship in Medical Science Liaison (MSL) provides an immersive opportunity to develop the scientific, communication, relationship-building, and strategic skills necessary for a successful career in Field Medical Affairs. The fellow will gain hands-on experience working with MSLs and Medical Affairs leaders in scientific exchange, thought leader engagement, field insights, and medical strategy. The goal is to prepare the fellow to successfully transition into an MSL or other Field Medical Affairs role.

Examples of specific responsibilities include:

• Develop expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, clinical evidence, and evolving treatment landscapes
• Build professional, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
• Participate in field-based scientific exchange and communicate complex clinical data in a fair-balanced, non-promotional manner
• Gather and communicate actionable field insights, unmet needs, and evidence gaps to inform Medical Affairs strategy
• Support KOL engagement, advisory boards, scientific congresses, and evidence-generation activities
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Medical Information, HEOR, Regulatory, and other cross-functional partners
• Develop an understanding of the regulatory, compliance, and ethical requirements governing Field Medical activities
• Complete strategic projects that contribute to Field Medical and broader Medical Affairs objectives

Fellowship Program Dates

The fellowship begins July 1, 2027 and ends June 30, 2028.

This two-year PharmD Fellowship at BridgeBio (Palo Alto, CA) is a novel opportunity to build a diverse set of skills in medical information and medical affairs in an innovative, start-up like pharmaceutical company. The goal of the fellowship is to provide the skills and experiences necessary to launch a successful career in medical information/affairs.

Examples of specific responsibilities include:

• Provide high quality, balanced, and timely responses to unsolicited medical and pharmaceutical inquiries
• Maintain a high level of product and disease state expertise to produce the highest quality of medical information support to both internal and external customers
• Conduct strategic reviews of the medical literature and the competitive environment to identify data and educational gaps to enhance patient care
• Participate in medical content development and review and communication of scientific information for internal and field-based colleagues
• Support medical information booth activities during professional scientific meetings/medical congresses
• Ad hoc project support as needed for efforts in Medical Information and Medical Affairs
